MISS LINDSEY MARTIN

 

Lindsey Martin has been dancing for 22 years. She began dancing when she was 3 years old. She competed regionally and nationally from ages 7 to 18 winning numerous titles, such as “Dancer of the Year,” “Dance Down Winner,” and “Top Senior Soloists.” She has also won several judges choice awards for “Best Choreography.” She has also dance on two cruise ships for Royal Carribean. Lindsey was a professional dancer living in Los Angeles, California for three years. She has worked with numerous artist including Prince, Mariah Carey, Sir Mix Alot, Haddaway, Colby O’Donnis, Eminem, Ying Yang Twins, Kelly Shepard, Bob Saget, Jamie Kennedy and various up and coming artists. She also starred in MTV’s “Making the Video”, ABC’s hit show “Hit me baby one more time”, and CBS’s “Tyra Banks Show.” You can also see her in Dance Spirit Magazine with Wade Robson modeling his new line of shoes. She has also stared in commercials for K-Swiss shoe line. While in California, Lindsey worked directly for choreographers such a Shane Sparks, Wade Robson, and Brian Freedman. Lindsey has been instructing dance for 9 years in Washington and California along with convention classes for Hollywood Vibe Dance Competition. Lindsey was also in charge of the Venom Dance Team for the local professional Arena Football.Lindsey has settled in the Wenatchee Valley to share her passion and love for the art of dance.

MISS BRITTANY DRESCHER

Brittany Drescher is 20 years old, was born and raised in the Wenatchee Valley and graduated from Eastmont High School. She has danced locally for 17 years. Brittany has been trained in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Modern,

Contemporary, and many different Hip-Hop styles. At the age of 3 Brittany attended her first dance class at Carolyn Kenoyer’s School of Dance located in Cashmere, WA and continued her training in Ballet, Tap and Jazz through the age of 9. She then transferred to Adrienne’s Dance Academy also located in Cashmere, WA. She began competing regionally and nationally in Washington California and Idaho, and internationally in Canada.  She has won numerous awards in top ten, entertainment challenge champion, Eye of The Storm and Diamond categories among many others. When Brittany reached the age of 14 she moved to Academy of Dance and Performing Arts and auditioned and took part in the Senior Master Class competition team. She began assisting with all the 3-4 and 5-6 year old combination classes, beginning and intermediate jazz and tap classes and the intermediate Hip Hop classes. She began teaching all of the above classes at the age of 16.

Brittany has a very strong passion for teaching children the art of dance and loves the joy it brings into her life.

Throughout her dancing experience Brittany has taken many conventions and classes from many different choreographers in today’s dancing industry. She has attended the National Dance Teacher Conference in New York City and has taken many classes from top leading choreographers such as Bob Rizzo, Pat-y-o, Sheila Barker, Finis Jhung, and Luam.  While in New York City Brittany has taken many drop-in classes at Broadway Dance Center under the instruction of Tracie Standfield, Slam, Rhapsody and Chris Hale. She has attended The Pulse on Tour Convention twice and had the opportunity to learn from Mia Michaels, Dave Scott, Tyce Diorio, Cris Judd, Brian Friedman, Shane Sparks, Laurieann Gibson and Wade Robson who are judges and choreographers from Fox’s hit show “So You Think You Can Dance.” Brittany attended both conventions as a teacher and received a lot of positive feedback and fresh new ideas about what is up and  coming in today’s dance industry. Brittany wants continuing her dance education with a positive and uplifting attitude and shares that attitude with the instructors and students she works with.  She is very excited to be a part of the Dance Creations teaching staff and she cannot wait to share her passion and love for dance with you and your children!

MISS KELSEY DARNELL

Kelsey has been dancing for 13 years. She began dancing when she was 5 years old, and has competed regionally and nationally. She has been under the dance direction of Lindsey for most of her 13 years of dance, being trained in jazz, ballet, lyrical, tap, and hip hop. She has taken many  conventions across the nation, working with top  choreographers such as Mia Michaels, Wade Robson, Dave Scott, Tyce Diorio, Shane Sparks, Laurie Ann Gibson, Chris Judd, and Brian Freedman. Kelsey’s love and passion for dance has been the driving force to learn more about the dance industry, from numerous teachers with many different styles.

She began assisting under Lindsey about 5 years ago, which was where her love of working with young dancers began. The experience of assisting has shown her what is needed to be a good teacher. She has been a staff member of Dance Creations since it began, and now will be joining the teaching staff. She is looking forward to the opportunity of working with the DC students!!

MISS CANDICE MONREAL

Candice fell in love with dance at the age of five, attending Sunshine Generation Song and Dance Company, in Fresno, California. When she moved to Wenatchee, Washington at seven, she started her first Jazz class at Fabulous Feet Dance Studio which only strengthened her passion. Eventually, Candice took classes at Dream Alley Studios and started off in all genres of dance: jazz, ballet, hip hop, lyrical, contemporary/modern, along with acting and singing classes. At 15 years old, Candice came to Fabulous Feet to start training under Lindsey   Martin, which brought her to Dance Creations.

Outside the studio, Candice has trained with professionals at conventions: Manhattan Dance Convention, Hollywood Vibe, Monsters, Coastal Dance Rage, and PULSE.  Candice has been honored to work with instructors such as: Leslie Scott, Mia Michaels, Tyce Diorio, Jillian Meyers, Shannon Mather, Ian Eastwood, and has been rewarded a scholarship from Chris Judd.

In competition, Candice has competed nationally in Star Bound Dance Competition and Spotlight Dance Cup. In Spotlight Dance Cup Nationals 2011, Candice earned a category winner with seventh place overall. Also, she was awarded “Best Performer”. Candice has competed with her dance team to hold 1st place at regional competitions.

Candice has grown so much as a person, because of dance and aspires to share her experience with other dance students. She started as a teacher’s assistant at 15 and has voluntarily taught numerous classes at Wenatchee’s Women’s Resource Center. She is very enthusiastic about continuing to teach at Dance Creations and to be able to improve young student’s dance ability.
